Welcome to the Centraides of Quebec page.

Did you know that one in eight Quebeckers lives in poverty? That so many are in need is unbelievable, especially in a developed society such as ours. We must come together and help each other so that poverty will not continue to impact generation after generation. Each in our own way, we can help to change things. A society lifts itself up by pulling together.

In 2011, your donations helped the 18 Centraides of Quebec allocate $70,000,000 to 1,700 community agencies in all regions of the province. Thanks to you, Centraide has the power to change things.

The Centraides of Quebec invest the majority of their funds to support not only children, youth and families in need, but also agencies that help those most at risk of being poor and excluded, such as newcomers, the elderly who are isolated or without caregivers, and people with physical or mental disabilities.

Overall, the 18 Centraides of Quebec allow more than 1,300,000 disadvantaged people to find the help and resources they need to make a new start. All of these Centraides work on issues such as poverty, housing access, food security, school dropouts, homelessness, violence, drug addiction, mental health and social exclusion.
